As a Professional Freelance Web Designer it is not uncommon for me to spend 10+ hours infront of my computer in a single day. Every day I lookup design/technology news, I design a website (or work on a website in progress), I spend a half hour on Qassia (a site for webmasters looking to promote their websites aswell as earn money) and I dedicate some time to planning my upcoming projects (Illicit Butterfly and the You and What Army Street Team).

At the end of the day I might have a look around for design inspiration and development insight, and often frequent the Web Designer Wall. This last activity can take up a lot of time without me realising it and after having spent 10+ hours on the computer already there are some days where I’m on the computer until I have to force myself to stop and walk away due to a headache.

What’s a girl to do? Well, after doing a little research using my favorite search engine, I subscribed to .Net Magazine and Web Designer Magazine.

MAY ISSUES of .Net Magazine and Web Designer Magazine

By subscribing to both magazines I have been able to keep up with design/technology news and can immerse myself in web design inspiration and development tutorials without having to sit infront of my computer. These two activities used to mean 4 hours or more sitting infront of a computer screen though now I can spend that time reading .Net Magazine and Web Designer Magazine with my feet up on the couch or even laying in bed. I no longer have to worry about running into broken links as Web Design Resource sites are usually full of them.

The quality of .Net Magazine and Web Designer Magazine is spectacular. All pages of both magazines could easily be considered works of art by themselves as page layouts often feature breath-taking imagery and stills. If you are looking for design inspiration and like the idea of beginning a ‘Web Design Inspiration Collection’ that you can hold in your hands and keep forever, I suggest you take a look at these magazines. A 3 month subscription to .Net magazine will cost £11.63 and a 6 month subscription to Web Designer magazine will cost £25.15.
